Supernatural.

Perhaps.

Maloney, perhaps not.

This story goes back quite a few years to around christmas time of 1998 it was my son nathan's

first christmas he had been born in june and this was going to be a big one earlier that year we had

suffered a bit of a loss two of our puppies and dogs had gotten out of the house and were never

returned. It was heartbreaking to my wife and I at the time, and I decided for Christmas I was going

to do something special. I would go get a fur baby to bring home to share with the family.

Someone that could grow up with my son, and we would have an amazing experience for that first big Christmas. Plus, it would fill

that hole, that puppy-sized hole in our hearts. So I went out with a friend of mine and we purchased

a beautiful baby Basset hound, big floppy ears, dopey eyes, and absolutely adorable. We brought the

little sucker home, pulled in the driveway,

the middle of a bad snowstorm, and then I realized that something had happened. Part of my keys

had fallen off my key chain, including my house key. Now, my wife was out of town until the next

day, and I had no extra key to get in.

I tried the doors, looked in the windows to see if maybe I had left a window slightly

ajar that I could slide open and get in, but to no avail.

So I knew what I had to do.
