Chris Gethard here I hope you're well a little extra something for you in the feed this week

I've written another book. If you have been following the show for a while you might recall that over the past couple

of years I put out a thing called Dad on Pills and and I put out the lonely Dad conversations, and now it's the third part of that

trilogy. It's called Dad at Peace, and this one is about growing up and kind of giving up.

And you all have heard it on the show

as I've had to figure out what it means to take some swings and misses to re-priorize, to stop being addicted

to walking on the tightrope of career and embrace this idea that my family brings me a sense of Zen and in particular

my kiddo brings me a sense of Zen.

You've all heard it. You've all heard it unfold week by week as I've helped sort it out in my head.

Now I do also want to say this Dad at Peace Book should have special appeal

to beautiful anonymous listeners. A lot of people realized last year we went

independent and it seemed kind of sudden and I had started

talking on the show about how I wasn't sure what the future was going to be and then

all of a sudden it was like hey we're an independent show and we've had a

five-year contract.

But those things don't happen overnight.

And I think a lot of people picked up on the fact

that it was more stressful than I was letting on

and there were more moving parts.

And I'm happy to tell you that, yes, there were more moving parts. Some of those moving parts and I'm happy to tell you that yes there were more moving parts
