Hello everyone and welcome to another bonus episode.

CS Lewis Reading Day, 2024 is not far away.

In fact, just a few weeks.

It's November 29th, which is CS Lewis's birthday.

And for those of you who are just joining now,

CS Lewis Reading Day is something that we started last year to parallel Tolkien

Reading Day and it's a day on which we encourage everyone to share their favorite CS Lewis quotations

on social media, hashtagging everything with CS Lewis Reading Day. People can get together in groups

and do a book study or share just share some of

their favorite quotations over a nice drink. We're encouraging all CS Lewis related content

creators to produce special content to mark this event, so videos, podcasts, articles. And the celebrations culminate in a series of live streams.

Now, last year we did one West Coast time and East Coast time for the United States.

But I think this time we might actually also have a UK live stream, which is very, very exciting.

As before, we'll be giving away a ton of Inklings books and having some

fun discussions along the way. Now, last year it was our inaugural CS-Lewis day, so we didn't want to

make it too complicated. So for the live stream, we just got a bunch of people together, shared

some favorite quotations, and just chatted a bit. But going forward, we wanted to have a theme each year.

And this year, we're going to be talking about CS Lewis and friendship. Because not only did

Jack teach us a lot about friendship through his works, through his fiction and nonfiction, many

of us have made really lasting friendships as a result of our shared love of C.S. Lewis.

But in the meantime, I'd like you to enjoy the audio from our West Coast live stream last year,
