conversations. We're going to go over today the outcome of the New South

Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal Proceedings which is basically

FYI for the case file into Sally's, the police file into Marion Barda's

disappearance that Sally has been applying for.

So it's the fight for that.

Brian, you were there. Do you want to go over some of the interesting aspects of it?

Yeah, so Sally's going through NCAT for two reasons to get access to third party information about her

mom given to the police during the course of their investigation from groups like and agencies

like customs and Medicare and

secondly to learn what drove the decision by the police to remove

Marion Bata from the missing person's register and suspend the

investigation.

One of the best points of the day, and the police are arguing that they shouldn't be required

to hand over any information because the investigation is ongoing.

But as RICO, our lawyer for Channel 7 said, if the police are presuming that Marion

chose to go missing of her own volition and isn't in any danger, what are they

investigating? Therefore, why can't they just hand the file over?

Which is a very compelling question that goes to the heart of why we have to go through

this expensive drawn-out legal process to get information about Salih's mom for Salih.

And in his submissions he pointed out that the other main objection that when individuals or groups or government agencies hand over information to a police detective who's investigating something, in this case a missing persons, there's a specific or implied agreement that the

information will be kept confidential and private, that it won't be seen by
