Thanks so much for listening to this bonus podcast. I'm Susie Larson, host of Middays. And throughout the month of

0:05.6

December, we as a team, in fact, quite a few of our listeners, were working our way through the Gospel of Luke,

0:10.8

reading a chapter a day. Well, today I'm looking at chapter three where John the Baptist prepares

0:16.1

the way for Jesus. John went from place to place on both sides of the Jordan River, Scripture says,

0:21.5

preaching the people should be baptized to show that they repented of their sins and turned to God

prepare the way for the Lord's coming, clear the road for him. The valleys will be filled,

1:13.4

Well, he has a different answer for them.

1:15.2

Collect no more taxes than the government requires.

1:17.8

What should we do?

1:19.0

Ask some soldiers, once again, he had a different answer for them.

1:22.3

Don't extort money or make false accusations and be content with your pay.

1:26.9

Everyone is expecting Messiah to come soon, and they were eager to know whether John might even

1:31.1

be the Messiah.
