Hi everyone and welcome back to the Faculty of Horror podcasting from the

Horror Halls of my apartment. It's Alex and it's just me today. I am hopping on

to do a really quick intro and we are still off this month. We are still

off for the month of August but Andrea and I decided that in honor of

Neade to Costas Candyman finally getting its release we would crack open our

Patreon vault and release on to the main feed our first ever commentary we

did on Bernard Rose's Candyman. We did this a few years ago. It was voted on by

the patrons to do that film. It was a really interesting one to revisit because

we had already talked about it in an episode and I think Candyman the original

one is something that continues to evolve in our minds in public discourse.

It's a great film. It's also a really complicated film especially in its

politics so you'll hear us grapple with that and if you're thinking of getting

in a rewatch of the original film before going to see the new one this could be
