Hey I'm super glad you're here. That's Casey my friend, my seeing I guy.

And I'm glad you popped in today for this bonus episode,

because I got to talk to you about something.

I want us to talk about it together.

It's just a time for the family to circle up and talk

because we're in such a tough season right now as a people I mean there's

so much pain and frustration and fear that people are feeling and so Casey and I of course we have felt it too

but here's the thing our God is a God of love and mercy and justice and

quite frankly there has been a heartbreaking lack of all that

lately and I think we're all feeling it and we're feeling the confusion and so I feel it but I

got to be honest I there's so much about it I don't understand and I don't know how to respond and I don't want to in any way respond with

insensitivity or drama or I just I'm being real honest with the family I just have had trouble not knowing how to respond outside of just humility and heartbreak.

And so I'm asking God to help me to be humble enough to say, I don't know what to say, but at the same time, I don't want my silence to communicate a lack of care.

So I've read and I've listened to a lot and I found something that I want you to hear.

It's something I read that LeCray, it's a transcript from Lecrae. He was speaking at Yale University and then

following his talk there was a Q&A and the topic evidently was called something like knowledge through narrative

bridging the racial gap in America and so I pulled part of this transcript

and I wanted you to hear a little bit of it

because I thought it was so good.
