If you needed any additional testimony to King's supreme storytelling acumen, it's hard to look past Stand By Me, the movie Stand By Me, and the movie Shashank, The Shashank Redemption became because they are very similar to the Novellas out of which they come.

I think in both cases they're better, but only because I think they're richer.

They only because they have more time with characters and settings and stories.
