All right. So the culture has a lot of competing images about what womanhood is, what culture

tells us womanhood is about working hard, being a girl boss, or womanhood is about being a mother

and being a wife, or womanhood is about something else entirely. And so what we're going to do

in this episode is look at some recent news stories that showcase what womanhood is about something else entirely. And so what we're going to do in this episode is look at some recent news stories that showcase what womanhood is and might not be. And I think

in politics right now, especially there is a strong representation that womanhood is about

so-called reproductive rights coming from, unfortunately, an entire campaign run by Kamala Harris

right now claiming that womanhood is the right to be able to kill your baby.

So there was a recent rally in Houston that Kamala hosted with some very popular and famous

actors and artists.

We're going to talk about that and what went on in that Houston rally.

But I wanted to start with the positive first because unfortunately it's easy, especially

with social media news, to focus on all the negative stories, but there are good stories that

are representing womanhood well. And so we're going to start with somebody that I like to keep an eye

on in what she's doing in her public work. And she actually kind of went private for a while to be able to focus on her family

more. She still worked, but she wasn't in the limelight as much. And this is someone named

Eva Mendez. So we're going to start with her in some clips of her talking about her

decision to focus on motherhood. And we're going to look at how that contrasts with the representation

of motherhood that is happening at some of these political rallies. During this episode two of the
