Welcome to Gender Reveal, a podcast where we hopefully get a little bit closer to understanding

0:19.7

what the hell gender is.

0:21.7

I'm your host and resident gender detective, Tuckwood Stock.

0:30.8

Hey everyone, I hope you've all been hanging in there. As you may have guessed from the

0:38.0

title and length of this episode, this is not a full length. This is just me popping in

0:44.0

with two pieces of news and we are going to start with the bad news first.

0:48.5

So the bad news is that season seven is over. The last episode of the season was Carmen Riemuchado's

0:55.0

interview last week. And if you're wondering why I didn't tell you that in advance, it's because

0:59.0

I didn't actually know that was going to be the last episode. But I'm having a pretty significant

1:04.0

carpal tunnel slash cubital tunnel flare up and it's made it very difficult for me to work for

1:18.6

to attempt to actually take some actual time off to make my tunnels work again. And then in a couple

1:26.7

weeks, producer Julia Linus Goodman and I will start working on season eight. And I'm going to take

1:32.0

the extra content that was going to be the end of season seven and tack it on to the beginning

1:37.0

of season eight. So you will hear it eventually just not like this week. Again, sorry, I didn't

1:43.2

tell you in advance. I didn't know in advance either. This is very unexpected. The reason that I

1:48.0

can make the choice to end this season early and actually take care of my human body is because

1:55.4

my employers are a thousand people on the internet who donate to the Patreon every month and who

2:01.2

donate to the Patreon weather or not. I put out a specific number of episodes every month. I feel

2:06.8

so grateful that this is the situation that I am able to take care of myself. I don't know what

2:11.5

I would do if I had to just keep showing up and typing at a job. And so to everyone who supports us
