John Kym. Good to have you John. So you wrote a massive story on Sam Howell and I'm excited

to talk to you about it because it like my my thing is I think about my radio show later

today that I kind of want to focus on for that is why does everyone think the commanders

are going to be bad? Watching all these power rankings come out they've got them like

25 27 I think someone had them 30th and obviously a lot of that is around howl because

people just have not seen him play and don't think that a guy that went in the fifth round

last year is going to be very good. So John I'm very appreciative for my own purposes

that you went into this but certainly I think it's the biggest story about this team in

the off season. So why did you want to report this story on kind of why they like Sam

who Sam is where he is and what did you learn as you wrote it?

Well a couple things and I wanted to write it because it's been a topic all off season

and and it was listen the whole like the Lamar Jackson thing was never going to happen because

financially it just wasn't going to work and any deal that you would have offered I think

one thing that and there's not to get too deep into that this one but any deal you would

have offered him you would have had to have cut guys to just to sign them to an offer sheet.

You probably get rid of John Allen you don't sign to Ron Payne guys like that and then you just

get the chance to get into an offer sheet and then there's a good chance that Baltimore matches

it offer and now you're out all these players. So that's a separate case but they didn't go as
