The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible versions of ourselves.
As a follow up to our conversation earlier this week about transracial adoption, we wanted to chat with someone who has lived this experience. Angela Tucker is a Black woman who was adopted from foster care to a white family. During our conversation, Angela shared more about her experiences as an adoptee, the challenges she’s had related to identity, the process of reuniting with her biological family, and about the work she does to help other transracial adoptees.
