She's made a new documentary about America this year called American Selfie, One Nation

Shoots Itself.

It's available on showtime right now and it's a fascinating look at what's gone on the

last year.

It started before she started shooting before the COVID and carried on all the way through

and it chronicles a good deal of what's happened on the streets in this country.

Let's talk about the picture.

First of all, I thought the picture was beautifully put together and well-realized, very

thoughtful and extraordinarily moving.

I want to ask you a couple of questions.

When you started out, were you going to make a different picture than the one you ended

up making?

I started out with the intention of making a time capsule, an artifact of 20 times.

So I didn't know what I was going to get.
