Laying with wives too is a big deal.

And that's going to play well with the next one that we're going to do with the

Dinah incident or Dina incident of Genesis 34.

This is a long one, a fairly long passage.

I mean, it's not super long, but it, I think if we take it up by chunks, there's some really interesting things that I have not even fully

figured out in my mind of how I think they play out. So I think this will be an interesting one

to talk about. So I'll start with

the first little section here. Now Dinah, daughter of Leah, whom she had born to Jacob,

went out to see the daughters of the land. And when Shechem, the son of Hamor, the Hivite,

prince of the country, saw her.

He took her and lay with her and violated her.

His soul was strongly attracted to Dinah, daughter of Jacob,

and he loved the young woman and spoke kindly to the young woman.

So Shechem spoke to his father, Hamor, saying,

get me this young woman as a wife.

There's a little bit of controversy.
