This is the third of an irregular series of bonus and crossover episodes,

in addition to my fortnightly installments.

In this bonus, I talk about James the Just in the late Second Temple period with Steve

Gwera of the history of the papacy podcast. I hope you enjoy it. But before we start,

Steve and I made one big goof. We referred to John Wycliffe

when we meant William Tyndale. We weren't bright enough to spot all the other goofs that we

made. Hi, I'm Steve Guera, host of A2Z History Presents the History of the papacy, and I'm here with Gary from the History

in the Bible podcast. And we're here today to talk about James the Just. Now, Steve, the professors,

the experts in all this, are engaged in vicious battles amongst themselves for academic supremacy.

They all claim to be objective,

to be bloody brilliant, and to have all the evidence on their side. Now, all these scholars are a lot

smarter than we could ever hope to be, but we have secret weapons. We don't work at a university.

We aren't smart. We aren't objective. And really, we have little idea what we're talking about.

We're just riffing.
