Rubin is racing obviously goes on hiatus as soon as that championship for decides who's going

to be the final champion.

And I think there's no better way to close out another great season for Rubiners Racing than to have the champion in the building. So Kyle Larson just flew in on a very expensive private jet. He brought in a very expensive championship trophy. And he's going to sit here with us and shoot the shit for a little bit. Kyle, thank you so much for coming in. Welcome york office how are you feeling you top of the world you see you uh you exhausted tell me what's going through your head right now well we're taping on what day is it today i don't wednesday i think so you've been on an absolute world win since how you doing uh i'm i'm obviously riding a high for sure i'm tired though, though. I'm exhausted. This year was different.

You know, we normally have the banquet like two weeks after. Yeah. And then we had it last night. So it's like, yeah, it's just a lot. Like you're running on fumes, which is great. I would way rather get the banquet done right after, you know, when everybody's excited about the season. But, yeah, I'm super tired right now. So I'm going to get some good sleep. We're going to the next game here in a little bit. And then, yeah, get some good sleep. We actually, our morning doesn't start as early as it typically does. I feel like in New York. So I'll get to sleep in a little bit tomorrow. It's a long season, right? I mean, that's one of the things.

One of the first people that we interviewed

as Rubbin is racing was William Byron. And when I said, do you have any tips for people who are new to the sport and stuff? And he was like, Large, just kind of knowing who you are and stuff, wait till the end of the summer. It's a long goddamn season. Are you one of those guys that might be a proponent from shortening the season?

hot dogs and all that kind of stuff. But how do you feel about the length of the longest

season of professional sports? It's long. It is long. And I wouldn't say that I want less

races. I think there could be a way, we race a lot in the South, and then, you know, for me,

I do a lot of dirt track racing, and we do like speed weeks where we'll race, you will go

track to track, you know, and kind of follow a route, you know, whatever.

Where I feel like we could do something similar to that in NASCAR and get a couple weekends back.

You know what I mean?

Like we could do Darlington on us, you know, whatever day of the week you want to call it. And then, you know, a few days later you go to Charlotte, then go to Martinsville, then go to Bristol. Like, you could knock out four races in two weeks and get two weekends back easily. so, and I think, you know, you would have fans that could travel along.

And obviously, I think TV ratings would be, you know, hard to kind of understand, you know, the midweek stuff there for the first couple of them. But once fans get used to it, you know, I think then, you know, it'd take off. But, yeah, I don't know. I think that would be a way to get the season a little shorter while not getting rid of races, you know? Yeah, no, it's a good point. I never even thought about it? I'm just thinking, cut, cut, cut. Yeah. So we saw, obviously, your wife with her traditional shotgun of a beer after the fact.

But I'm curious, you said, obviously, you had a lot of media obligations given us some time super busy following the championship.

Have you even gotten a chance to, like, party yet or celebrate and enjoy winning this?
