We're going to talk about the apocalypse some more.

And we talked before about two major Jewish apocalypses, the book of Daniel and the book of Enoch.

And an apocalypse really ties into the word apocryphal and apocryphal, meaning that they're hidden,

that there's some sort of hidden knowledge or hidden understanding in these books.

And they're very dense and they're complicated.

And it's not just the sort of reading you crack open

and you instantly understand what they're talking about.

And today we have a couple more apocalypses to talk about Merkaba mysticism and the Book

of Jubilees, which is a really good apocalypse.

Gary, can you tie all of our

apoclipses together and maybe review a little bit what we talked about the last time?

Yeah, sure. Let's have a go. Now, firstly, the word apocalyptic comes from the Greek from

being hidden. And there's a vast body of literature called apocalyptic literature.

Firstly, it's a genre of literature like Westerns or crime fiction. It's a type of literature.

Apocalyptic stuff is also, it's a movement, it's a collection of beliefs that people have,

and it's a worldview and theology.

The apocalyptic genre of writing typically has a figure from the past, like Enoch,

who's a fairly big name in Genesis, who gets visions from an angel of some sort.

And the angel tells this figure from the past, like Enoch,

well, this is what's going to happen at the end of the world.
