Parasite has already made history as the first Korean movie nominated for Oscar.

Director Bong Joon Ho is pleased, of course, but he hasn't forgotten the harsh words that his six-year-old son said to him during a set visit years ago.

You know, he watched me work and then just quietly came to me and whispered into my ear.

Daddy, you look so stupid.

Why?

Why, son?

You keep repeating the same thing again, again and again.

You look very stupid.

Fortunately, Bong Joon Ho bounced back from that scathing appraisal. Now Parasite is an

Oscar contention in six categories, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original

Screenplay. Director Bong tells us about clashing with Harvey Weinstein over cuts to his 2013 film, Snowpiercer,

and explains why that led him to make Okcha for Netflix, even though he prefers to watch films in theaters.

And he shares his thinking behind the planned Parasite TV series.
