And this is Jasmine Singer.

And this week, Jasmine will be speaking with writer and passionate animal activist Camille DeAngelis, who just happened to write an amazing novel about a young

woman with, shall we say, unfortunate taste for flesh.

The novel was called Bones and All.

And that just happened to be turned into a movie starring Timothy Shalame and Taylor Russell,

which just happened to premiere at the Venice Film Festival and win two prizes there.

So, wow.

Wow, is right.

I am mind boggled.

I am so happy for Camille and for the world that this like incredibly, incredibly beautiful book is now getting Oscar buzz. I mean, it's really

remarkable. And Camille wrote it like 10 years ago or something. And you'll hear in the

interview what that was like, you know, the process of having it turned into a film and then

like realizing, oh, it's actually a big film and working with the screenwriter. And I mean, it's just a great interview. And Camille is so passionate and so smart. And I just really enjoyed this conversation. Yeah, this is crazy. All of our vegan activism should turn into world premieres at the Venice Film Festival. That's all I have to say. Just work on that,

okay? Yeah. Yeah, let's get on that. Actually, I was just in L.A. at the time that we're recording

this, I got back at like 2 a.m. And all over L.A. I saw billboards for Bones and All.

Wow. Yeah. It was so cool.

It's so crazy. I, of course, have not read it or seen it because it's too scary. Well, maybe it's not that scary. I think, yeah, give it a try. I think you can handle it. So can I tell you about L.A.? We haven't even spoken yet. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Tell me everything. Oh, there are some people listening in, but tell me anyway. Oh, you mean the podcast? I was like, who's listening in the cats? Yeah. What'd be funny if we never

talked on the phone unless we were recording? And then we just like, you know, talked about all of our shit publicly and also like

the mundane stuff. I think we would probably have the most boring podcast on the face of the
