Today's talk comes from Pastor Ben Stewart.

Well right out of college, I became a youth pastor and I had a blank slate.

I was beginning a ministry. I was given a handful of kids.

But by the grace of God, the ministry began to grow.

And as it did, I suddenly realized I need fellow laborers.

I need other people to minister to these kids along with me.

And so I started to look for how to do that recruit.

And I had a guy in our church come up to me and say,

Hey, I've been a Sunday school teacher at other churches for years.

I'll come help you.

But as a brand new minister, I felt responsibility for my flock.

And so I thought, well, you know, I should probably screen who gets to shepherd them.

So as a young man, I came up with an application and an interview process.

And so I told this guy, that's great. You want to volunteer?

Fill this out and I'll come meet you at your office.

And so I showed up at his office and sure enough walked in there.

And his office was covered with Christian paraphernalia.

There was a Christian fish exclusive on his desk.

I believe if memory serves Bible verses pinned up against the wall.
