U.S. stocks pulled back today after reaching record highs last week. All three major indexes

finished in the red. The NASDAQ fell furthest, losing 0.8%, while the Dow and S&P 500 both

dropped 0.7%. Investors are worried that without a diplomatic breakthrough in Iran, oil prices

will keep rising, further pushing up inflation. Those fears have deepened a sell-off in government debt.

Yields on 10-year treasury notes rose for a third straight day, hitting 4.7 percent, their highest

closing level since January of last year. Oil prices slipped and then rebounded.

President Trump said he would hold off attacking Iran at the request of Gulf leaders. Even so,

Brent crude prices are up more than 20% over the last month. Among individual companies, Service Now

shares fell 1.5%, a day after Bank of America gave the business software company a buy rating.

Corweave stock dropped nearly 4% after the Wall Street Journal reported that Alphabet and Blackstone planned to create a rival AI cloud company.

Corweave competitor Nebulae shares also slipped 1%.
