I am Jim Grant and with me as usual, Eric Whitehead at the control panel and Evan Lorenz, the great deputy editor of Grants.

And we have a guest today who I introduce in his few minutes.

He is Ed Altman, the distinguished student and indeed scholar of the credit markets, especially the speculative great end of things.

And we'll be talking about credit broadly and narrowly.

But first, I want to welcome Eric back to the land of the living.

Eric and his family had a little bit of a bout with a bug, which kind of a good.

And we were scared.

But Eric, I can't help the thing that if you had not taken the entire family on one of

your adventure vacations to what was it?

Evan, was it?

Sudan, Ethiopia.

I think it was Sudan.

Yes, we've been quite a number of places, by the way, thank you very much, Jim, for

invited me this morning.

You're welcome that.

But before we get into the credit situation, I would like to, you know, it's just been

customary during this period of not on we so much, and not even principally annoyance, but of just disorientation.

It's been our custom on this program to announce some new discovery, something constructive

that has come out of this most irksome period of so-called lockdown.
