The Republican Party and the American political right, conservative movement, have had for multiple decades now, more than a generation, a project, to make Americans distrust,

even hate their government, and to use the hate and the distrust they have sown as cover

to break it whenever possible when they're running it. And then, this is a neat trick,

campaign on the failures of that broken government. And unfortunately, it's

been pretty successful. So on a certain level, it's no real surprise that Americans are
