In segment number two, I'm going to play a conversation that I previously recorded earlier in the day yesterday before the news came out about Jim Knowles with Brian Rice, but there's a lot of good stuff in there that I do want to hit air that is that is still true. And so we're going to play part of that conversation in segment number two coming up. And, you know, first here in segment number one, we're going to talk about Jim Knowulls. And, and again, I I had previously recorded this show. And my, my focal point was Jim Nulls, because the Jim Nulls chatter got pretty hot yesterday, okay? And so when I was breaking down the candidates, my candidate for today's show was going to be Jim Nulls. But I used a lot of language like, I don't know where it is, and you know, we'll see if it gets across the finish line and, you know, stuff like that. You know, Tennessee's defensive coordinator search. Well, again, Tennessee's working to finalize that right now, and maybe the time this airs, it'll continue to be out of date as, you know, BallQuest reported, Ballquest confirmed that Tennessee's working to finalize the deal with Jim Nulls

that's out there by Pete Thammel and a bunch of other national media members as well.

So I had already kind of broke down like his stat line and kind of what he did wear.

It's very impressive.

So I salvaged that, much like I salvaged much of the conversation with Brian Rice, and I'm going to put some fluff here at the beginning because, again, I'm going to react to why this is such a big time hire for Josh Heibel. A lot of behind the scenes kind of intertwines how I did the show here today. I know you guys don't care about that, but part of the business is a lot of times you record and it gets out of date. So you got to go back and do that. Jim Knowles, man, I think if you poll 10 Tennessee fans, not of them would say this is a home run higher. And then you'll get one that said, oh my gosh, he was awful at Penn State this year. Pretty pathetic. Yeah, I mean, you know, Penn State clearly that things didn't go right for Penn State this year. That's why James Franklin is no longer the head coach there. And you had

Jim Knowles who was making $3.1 million this year not going to be retained by Matt Campbell

coming over because Matt Campbell was going to bring his own guy. And so you had Jim Knowles that currently, I mean, I think part of the process to get it

officially across the finish line and assuming that's going to happen is there's a pretty

hefty buy out there.

And there's going to be negotiations between Knowles and Penn State.

I don't know how that works at this time, like if Tennessee gets involved in that regard.
