Boeing, of course, as we've been discussing under some pressure this morning on news of more production troubles.

We turn now to Boeing. The company has vowed to make changes to its safety procedures after a series of high-profile mishaps.

Alaska Airlines passengers bracing for an emergency landing earlier tonight

after a section of the plane blew off mid-flight.

Reporting vibrations and banging noises. Boeing 767 making an emergency

return back to JFK where Delta says they found the emergency slide had

separated from the plane.

It's more evidence that Boeing's quality control problems extend through its

supply chain.

Boeing now says it will likely delay deliveries of some 737s after a supplier discovered two

holes may not have been drilled exactly to our requirements and their troubles

continue in less than two months two whistleblowers who came forward about

Boeing's unsafe production standards died. That on Tuesday an emergency slide

that fell off a plane midair was found near the residence of a lawyer who was already suing the company.

These headlines follow renewed scrutiny of Boeing by regulators and the press, which began back

in January, while flying over Oregon a piece of a Boeing 737

Max came off mid-flight, there were no fatalities but an audit by the

Federal Aviation Administration found dozens of issues in the manufacturing

process.
