On the morning of October 29th, I was woken up by a colleague who alerted me that

a line aircraft crashed.

He said, it's the max and I was surprised because it was a new aircraft.

My company provided the air data for aircraft flying around the Jakarta area.

So I went to the computer and looked at the data.

It was immediately apparent that something was wrong.

The plane went up to about 2,000 feet, just over a minute after takeoff.

And the plane had a bit of a dive.

And then the plane climbed to about 5,000 feet.

But then 5,000 feet, the plane was fluctuating up and down.

And the plane just started diving.

It just didn't make sense.

You don't see planes diving onto the departure.

I was baffled.

Why did it go down?
