We begin with some breaking news as an Air India plane carrying 242 people has crashed near an airport

in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad. According to Air India, 169 of those on board are Indian nationals.

53 are British, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian. Flight AI 171, which was bound for London,

crashed shortly after taking off, with local television channels showing heavy plumes of smoke rising
