The first time I sat to meditate, I was an 18-year-old between my freshman and sophomore year

doing transcendental meditation and I said I'm sort of my dad's my dad was a doctor and a scientist

so a little bit of skepticism there I went maybe but he said give it a try and he held up a pen

and he dropped a pen in his hand he said you don't have to believe in gravity for the pen to fall.

So my first meditation was sitting in this little room with this Sylvia Schmidt, 18 years
