Welcome to Legacy and the final episode of our series on Bob Marley.

In the last episode, we saw how Marley had become not just an international but a global

success touring the US, the UK and Europe to increasing acclaim.

He's written some of his most famous and greatest songs, including Get Up Stand Up and No Woman, No Cry,

amazing songs that are still played every day around the world today.

But he's been forced out of his own home after surviving a political assassination attempt

that comes

very close to killing him and his wife, Rita. We'll see Bob Marley leave his beloved homeland for

his own safety and rise to become not only a music icon, but a political figure both in

Jamaica and further afield. Although he's survived an assassination attempt, there's something else

he won't be able to survive.

It hasn't succeeded, but it's been enough to make him leave Jamaica away from his beloved 56 Hope Street and away from his homeland.

So now Bob Marley, the Whalers, and Bob's

wife Rita have moved to London in 1977. And he seems really happy there. He's renting a house

near Albert Bridge. And in the morning, he drinks his mint tea and chews on a couple of oranges
