is that correct Bob? No it was 18 in the Navy you had it, and then 18 more in the Army is an Army doctor.

I always like to kick it off with just kind of having you give us a background,

kind of origin story, Where'd you go up?

Why'd you go in the military?

Why the seals?

And just catch us up to date to what you're up to now.

As I was saying just before we started this,

year and my background are very similar in that I grew up in an alcoholic dysfunctional father family left at 17 to join the Navy. I chose the Naval Academy because three of four of my previous

generations of males had been Academy grads and I wanted to be a seal. I said well I

might as well be an officer if I'm going to be a seal, and off I went.

But it was as much to get away as it was anything else.
