Summary

Months of speculation, hours poring over aerial maps and a somewhat impulsive boat purchase have led Mark, Jimmy, and Erik to the office of DNR Wildlife Biologist/Area Expert Bob Hanson, to find out if their hypotheses’ about the region are overly optimistic, or on target. Is this river the mecca of fish and game – or a barren water wasteland. Spoiler alert, there is a heck of lot going on in the area if you’re willing to work for it. From bass to bucks, waterfowl to wild rice, and so much more, Northern WI is an outdoorsman’s paradise. If you’re one of those folks who consider Wisconsin a fly-over state, we would selfishly like you to keep on thinking that. Oh yeah, do we have the right boat? Bob says, “That depends”. 0:59.9	Oh, thank you. Sure. County and also in the Douglas and Bayfield counties a little bit in the
1:12.8	Sawyer. So I specialize in most of this barren type habitat that is you know then
1:17.7	bordered by the rivers here as well. So that's why I specialize in but I work a lot on public lands,
1:24.0	county forests, state forests, wildlife areas,
1:27.5	and even some with the private industrial forests as well,
1:30.0	doing with a big land management scale,
1:32.0	and also promoting the wildlife species so we have
1:35.5	species like that we folks like yourselves and come up and enjoy and even hunt so great.

1:41.4	Now we gave Bob a little bit of a rundown
1:44.3	on essentially what was happening here.
1:46.4	You know, the idea that we want to go on this white tail hunt.
1:49.6	Also, a pretty sweet time of the year being that it's an opportunity hunt a lot of other
1:53.5	things going on. We also gave him the rundown a little bit on the fact that we were
1:57.9	hoping to do it on a river and on a float hunt essentially going down the river in a boat.
