Hey everybody, welcome to the Busted Open podcast. I'm Matt Camp. We're talking all about the

unbelievable crowd at Arena, Mexico, and our Hangman opened the show by making an immediate

connection. This is the Busted Open podcast. I talked about this venue a lot coming into

tonight.

And admittedly, I hyped it up plenty.

And I looked at this show and said,

the fact that there has never been an American wrestling promotion,

an American-based wrestling promotion,

to have live television broadcast from an arena that was specifically built for wrestling, for Lucha Libre.

Arena Mexico stands on grounds that hosted boxing, wrestling, going back to the 1910s.

An arena that was rebuilt over time, and when Arena Mexico was finished, the building that we

saw that show in tonight in 1956.

Think about where we are in 2025.

It's going to be 70 years of pro wrestling in that building next year.

And for the first time ever,

a major American-based promotion

took their television on the road

and did it live there,

and my goodness, was the celebration of

what that building is what lucha libra is that's what it should be and and it's it's even wild to have to say it but that's what it should be. And it's even wild to have to say it, but that's what it should be. If you want to

embrace how great, how amazing an atmosphere can be, show love to that crowd, show respect to what they have packed that building to see for the last 70 years.

And believe me, there's a balance to strike there.
