I wanted to also ask you about this one, something that certainly goes against humans,

0:08.1

namely that in order to be a good active investor, we need patience and persistence

0:13.5

and paying zero attention to all the noise.

0:18.6

If you look at the predictors of moving human behavior,

0:23.6

I like to put things in groups and make them alliterative,

0:27.6

you may have noticed with my four C's.

0:30.6

But if you look at the things that move human behavior, right,

you and why are they doing this? How do they get these unrealistic beauty standards? And we need

1:24.0

to do the same thing with financial media. Most financial media is not put out in the world for you or I to make a profit, right?

1:32.3

It's to get clicks and eyeballs.

1:34.7

And so we have to really understand the base motives of the information that we're taking in,

1:40.3

understand who's selling us good information and who's selling us hysteria.

1:45.9

The second thing we need is the right environment, right? For many people, the right environment is going to be abstinence.

1:52.1

You know, the same way that you would tell an alcoholic to not go hang out at a bar. You know,

1:57.4

you would tell the average investor, you know, you're going to want to leave a lot of this alone.
