We are now deep in the throes of the off season, but there is still news happening, still stuff going on,

and some really interesting news this week that actually created a larger conversation

about a completely different school.

I'll set it up for you this way.

So we all know Dave Miranda left to become the head coach at Baylor after a very successful run as

LSU's defensive coordinator, leaving the Tigers in need of a new defensive coordinator.

They decided to hire their old defensive coordinator from a way back, Bo Pellini.

Bo Pellini last seen working at LSU for less miles.

They won the 2007 national title, and then Pellini was hired as Nebraska's head coach.

And it's interesting because it feels like every conversation about Bo Pellini, who spent the last few years at Youngstown State as head coach, going to LSU, came back to being a Nebraska conversation because it's absolutely fascinating

when you look at what Bo Polini did in Nebraska and then compare it to Nebraska now and remember

that he got fired because they weren't happy with his results. But he's got one of the more

complicated legacies you're going to find.
