A former NYPD sergeant convicted of killing a drug suspect in the Bronx by throwing

a cooler at him is set to be released.

38-year-old Eric Duran posted $300,000 bailed after a judge granted his release pending an appeal.

His lawyers were expected to bring him home.

Duran was sentenced last week to

three to nine years in prison for manslaughter in the 2023 death of Eric Dupress.
