not out to the public last night, which was Friday, December 8th. And during that podcast,

we talked about Otani, this is Astor's movie, and Stanton. Our prediction on Stanton was, rather, there's no way he comes to the Yankees.

If the Yankees want to get them, they have to give up someone big.

Greg, why don't you say what you said?

We didn't say no way he's coming to the Yankees.

I think our take was, and I know it's our take because it was literally less than 24 hours ago. You and I came to the agreement, seeing what the Giants had offered for Stanton,

that it felt like the Yankees were going to have to trade a prospect on the level of Clint

Frazier to get the Stanton deal done.

That's what it felt like because the Dodgers was still looming,

and he knew all the Dodgers had to do would be like, hey, here's Jack Peterson.

So you and I were of the opinion that if the Yankees weren't Stanton's first choice, which they weren't, the Dodgers were.

And the Dodgers had the Trump card of Jack Peterson.

It felt like the Yankees would maybe hedge a little bit and throw up someone like Frazier to get the deal done.

And it turns out they didn't need to do that at all.

No, they didn't need to do any of that.

And I think my prediction was also he was going to be a Dodger at this point.

I just couldn't see a reason why the Dodgers wouldn't want to get him on the team for the next 10 years.
