because his story is probably one of the most important

cases in the entire history of criminal investigation. And I know that sounds like a bold

statement, but stick with me here because this is genuinely the case that helped build the

foundation for everything we understand about serial killers today. Edmund Kemper I III was born in Burbank, California, on December 18th, 1948.

And from the very beginning, he was different.

He weighed 13 pounds at birth, which is already pretty unusual.
