Hello, everybody, and welcome to the Derek Hunter podcast for this Wednesday. Can you

believe it's already Wednesday? Already hump day of this week, September 3rd, 2025.

I am your backup goalie, Derek's backup goalie, Dean Carriannis of the New York Sun, formerly of

the Rush Limbaugh the television show and Rush Limbaugh Show on your radio. So happy to be back

with you here today. I managed to go into New York City, which I don't do every day anymore.

Very thankful for that. And get back on the train with a little stop

along the way in a speakeasy that is hidden behind a deli, the backstage deli on 55th street,

close to 6th Avenue. So if any of you are New York City residents, I would encourage you to

take a look there at backstage deli. The staff were so nice to us.

It was only me and a couple of radio colleagues because the By Heart Radio Building is right there, the New York City headquarters.

One of them is right upstairs near there.

And it just looks like a regular deli from the outside.

But if you go in the back, go to the left, there's a curtain.

You will find that it is indeed, and I'm not trying to help you get rolled. I know you're not trying to get rolled out

there. As nobody in the back is going to mug you and go sell you off to the circus or something.

It really is. Nice place. It harkens back to the arrow when there were so many bars like that in the city where

they had couches and comfortable chairs. You can just stretch out, relax, talk to your friends

for a few hours, enjoy a happy hour, a few beers. So that's where I have been. I have been

in the backstage, backstage, back room, I guess you'd say, a special place.

If you end up in the New York City area, look for somewhere cool to take out of towners.
