I'm a nurse blogger and podcaster. And I am Sam, Nurse, podcaster, powerlifter, co-host of the

selfie show. And today we're off the clock

with a actual requested episode from like a listener. So I had someone DM me. And I think we both

like had a lot of questions related to stuff like how did we make it through nursing school.

Right. But someone by desperately sending this

email saying, can you please do an episode on how to get through nursing school? Me and my

cohort would listen to it every single day. I just, I could just feel the like, ugh. Yeah. Yeah.

The need. And so Sam sent this to me. And it's interesting because over the

course of however many years, I've been doing social media in my head, I've covered this

kind of topic. And, you know, initially I think my gut reaction was like, well, we've already

talked about this. But the funny part about it is looking back, Sam and I went through everything, we have not done an episode like this. And I think the interesting part of this

when I'm really digging deep into why is because this particular topic is so, I hate to

using this word, you guys, but it is so triggering for me. Like this particular episode that we're about to record right now, I cannot tell you how hard it is for me to dig deep and to almost like relive my personal experience that I went through. So I think that's probably why we haven't. I haven't done this. And Sam's like, we really need to do this episode and I 100% agree I'm like absolutely

we do but um just so you know it's very triggering for me so I really don't want to be doing this

no we are like not even lying because when we did the show notes and then she started reading

through um and she's like honestly reading through this is like making my heart race a little bit

like she's like I'm feeling very just like yeah like reliving this. And I'm like, yeah, that's the, that's the vibe I got from the message that I got from that person. I could just tell that. And I'm like, you know, we have in bite-sized pieces here and there talked about it when we talk about other things, but we've never just dedicated an entire episode. So honestly, and I feel like this is not just for you in nursing school, pre-rex, if you're

in grad school even, if you're changing careers, a lot of the same things that we go through

with any, nursing school is a big life event.

It's a big life change.
