And I'm delighted to say that today we have a special

guest here at the Echo and I'm delighted to welcome Samantha Quek to the Blood Red

Pocust, the welcome's arm. Thanks for having me'm very much looking forward to it and getting stuck in.

Now, many of you will know probably via a fairly embarrassing picture of Sam worth

Steve and Gerard when she was much younger that she is indeed a big red which is why we've got her on the podcast

But she's got a big weekend ahead as well which we just wanted to mention. So Sam you're back obviously you're a world

girl but you're here this weekend for a big sport and event down at the Echo Arena.

Yeah absolutely so it's sports personality of the year and it's back in

Liverpool I think the first time it was here was 2008. Remember it well yeah? Yeah yeah I do

I think Chris Hoy won that one but really excited for this year not only will I be watching it

and being a fan of all the athletes that come through I'm gonna be working on the

red carpet and doing interviews with the BBC so it's gonna be a really really good

experience and as I say what a better city

you know it's got reds blues we've got so much sporting talent and one of those

sporting talents that is up for nomination is Bianca Walkton so I'm hoping everyone's going to vote for her because I think that would be a dream come true for her

Obviously with all her titles that she's won this year. Yeah, I mean she's we remember her from the Olympics, just, you know, obviously, as we do yourself as a gold medalist.

And, I mean, she's not in towards the top of the baton the betting for it but probably because would you
