Paul Gorse and Adam Jones as we talk about the issues facing both clubs during this

coronavirus crisis and while the Premier League remains on shutdown

suspended indefinitely but with hopes potentially of a return this summer but we

will see no games for the time being and today we were talking about those issues

that affect both clubs furloughing obviously a huge talking point over the last week or so, player wages, deferrals, paying into this NHS fund, and also discussing how football will look when it comes out of this

crisis a lot of talk about a downturn and how football financially will look

much different and it does now and

Gorsie I'll start with you and I know you guys have spoke about it on a

separate blood red but just for the purposes of today's pot.

What was the thinking at the club as best you know it at

at Liverpool?

First of all, to use the furlow scheme and then quite quickly to you turn on the decision.

To be honest, I don't think they expected quite the feeling of anger about it to be honest.

I mean it was an out on the Saturday afternoon

wasn't it and by the Monday evening.

They basically done a complete 180 on it.

So I suspect for officials were locked in talks across the weekend just trying to come to an agreement because, you know,

the little bit to kind of sell themselves. You know, we hear so much about esp and needs of Bill Shankly and the Bill don't really miss an opportunity to quote him when they can.

So to say that this means more and all the kind of socialist values that Shankly is synonymous with to then kind of go back on that and use a government fund that was set up for struggling businesses to pay your lowest paid workforce just didn't sit right with
