And once again we are joined by Ian Herbert, the Chief Sports writer for the

Independent and Ian is here most excitingly to talk about his new book

Quiet Genius which is a sort of title Bob Paisley, Britain's

British Football's greatest manager.

That's a fantastic sentence to say,

I think, and one that many Liverpool fans

will relish saying.

Ian, thank you very much for being with this.

I've had the book a couple of days.

I've managed to get through a quarter of it and it's absolutely fascinating read, I have to say and there's something new on every page.

So many of us probably think we know Bob Peersley and is it was it one of your motivations in writing the book to think that actually

it's a hell of a lot we don't know about Bob Peasley isn't it?

I think I mean the number of conversations I had across the you know it's about a year

writing the book and a number of conversations I had where people would say really well it

was shankly that kind of he he achieved what Liverpool achieved and Bob just kind of you know sort of put

put bill slippers on put his driving gloves on or whatever and just went away and

did it and and yet and yet of course Pasey was

Pasey's Liverpool won the European Cup which thankfully
