Liverpool take on Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime.

We'll be previewing that game very shortly indeed but also take a

look at Yerkenclops press conference but there is of course something else that's

been going on you might well have noticed throughout this week.

That's where we're going to begin and I'll come to you first. I'm of course talking about this European

Super League which formed and then collapsed within the space of a couple of days. What have you made of the events of this week?

Well, who knew that that was going to fail apart from everybody who knows anything

about football? I think we did the podcast, didn't we?

The other on Monday where we all said it's never going to happen never

gonna happen and sure enough it didn't I think the only interesting or worrying thing is that it got

as far as it did which you know if you as we said at the time the kind of giveaway that it was a little bit of a

rush job towards the end was the was the website which wasn't up so much was it I mean if you're

going to be a what is it three billion pound industry you probably want to you know get get somebody other than like my dad to do your website for you but

Yeah, they just was it was it was it was just stupid it was just utterly and utterly stupid.

The reason that nobody, on other clubs,

came out and said anything about it at the time

is because they probably thought, not so much,

well, the fans aren't happy about this book.
