podcast the international fixtures are almost over we're just a few days

away from seeing the Reds in action again and we've got plenty to discuss on

today's show.

We're going to start with a quick look at the decision by England to leave Trent Alexander

Arnold out of their squad for tonight's game with Germany.

And for the main part of the show we're going to take a look at some of the players out of

contract at Anfield in 2023 amid speculation around Navi-Kator and Roberto Fomeno.

Firstly though Theo, I'll come to you first on this one. I know you've been writing about it this morning.

We've been here before several times with Trent Alexander Arnold,

so in some ways it probably shouldn't come as a massive shock,

but it does just seem, again,ro Southgate either doesn't particularly rate the

Liverpool fallback or perhaps more accurately just doesn't know quite how to best use them.

Yeah that's true. Southgate's always had this issue of Trent.

He can't find a way to get the best out of his abilities,

like England, they play this boring five-man defense,

which I think has been found out a bit since the Euro's

struggling to create, and maybe Trent doesn't really suit the wingback role

but then he's still very attacking right back. You think you'd play to his strengths as

Liverpool do because you know he's going to create chances you know he's going to

set up goals and maybe that would be the way to unlock defences and get some positivity back in the team.
