Hello and welcome along to the latest Liverpool Echo Blood Red

podcast. I'm Matt Addison with a squad of Theo Squires, Sean Bradbury and

Rich Garner all alongside me today. We'll talk about the Champions Day very shortly

and the possible opponents that Liverpool could get.

And of course we'll preview the big game with spurs on Sunday,

including picking our teams for that game.

Let's talk Napoli first, though, Theo. I'll come to you on this one to start with obviously not quite a big enough win for

Liverpool to top the group but still plenty of positives. I don't think any of us predicted a

Liverpool win on Monday's podcast. So was this a sign I should say of a turning point for

Liverpool? Was it a sign of the future or was this just the case of once again a

big side comes to Anfield and Liverpool decided to turn it on.

It's a completely different one with this one because

Napoli was so assured of top spot it would have taken something special for

Liverpool to wrestle that away and I think both teams knew that that plea hadn't lost yet this season and we all know Liverpool's failings at one point or another.

And it's hard to know what to take from the result because of the more solid defensively,

I had a couple of chances, but they rarely tested Merray too much,

and it was only when Napoli had the goldest allowed in the second half by

the VA R and Darwin Nunez came on that Anfield really had any sort of atmosphere and the game got going again.

It went up a notch.

I know clocks in his press conference said it's not a dead rubber or any sorts of that and it was played

at a better pace than that, but it was sort of going through the motions in that first half.
