Hello and welcome along to the latest Liverpool Echo Blood Red podcast I'm Matt Addison with

Ian Doyle, David Lynch and Kiefer McDonald all with me. We'll talk about the

Champions League trip to Iax which comes later on this week in a short while but

we'll start with the defeat

to Nottingham Forest on Saturday first. Unfortunately we do have to talk about

that Dooley you were there a couple of important wins for Liverpool last

week but then another setback another

performance that really wasn't very good from the rest on Saturday.

No it wasn't much of a surprise given it wasn't there which was most players

I think Clop said after the game, probably the most encouraging thing is that

Clop knew exactly why they'd lost. He just went through and explained it. Be more of a

worry if he didn't know why they played the way that they did. I mean, let's be honest,

Forrest weren't very good.

They just ran around a lot and got in the way,

and defensively they weren't particularly great set pieces.

Liverpool had loads of chances.

They just couldn't put them away.

I think somebody needs to recalibrate Virgil van Dyke's head because I don't know what he was doing

half the time so to be clearing it. But you know these things happen. I mean it was there with the

few of the old regulars Neil Jones was sat next to me and after 20 minutes,

turned to him and said, this is Lester away last season and it ended up being almost exactly

...
