Hulier's assistant manager, Phil Thompson, shares his memories of the season as the

Reds ended a six-year domestic trophy drought and won a first European trophy since 1984 in

Dortmund with a few tales to share along the way.

I just want to start with the League Cup and then the

FA Cup, the European and then a little bit of Gerald towards the end. So the League Cup

it was just looking at the results a couple of hours ago it was a bit of a roller coch store

wasn't it with the real battle against Chelsea going to extra time and then hammer and stoke 8-0 and I get

beat at Palace and then the cop rem remind and Clinton Morrison the score I mean

but what were your memories of that first run to Cardiff? Well the run was obviously

when it starts off it's sort of low-key you make changes not as many as seems to happen now

But I do remember that stroke game

More importantly and I think it was just a little bit of a rocky time that we had things

have going our way and I think we had Peggy Arfexted in goal.

And I can remember at nil.
