Summary

Ahead of Sunday's Merseyside derby at Anfield, the Blood Red podcast is here to give their thoughts ahead of the third-round FA Cup tie. But before getting onto the match with Everton, Connor Dunn, Paul Gorst and Dan Kay reflect on the Reds' 2-0 home win over Sheffield United in the Premier League. Praise is dished out for Jordan Henderson, Joe Gomez and Trent Alexander-Arnold for their role in the win, before looking ahead to that FA Cup clash. Reacting to Jurgen Klopp's press conference, the panel discuss the need for a reduction in fixtures through the festive period, after Klopp gave his thoughts on that matter. Does the FA Cup still need replays? And could Klopp be forced to throw Takumi Minamino in for his debut? That and more is discussed before the usual team and match predictions. Enjoy. They won two-nill goals from Mohammed Sala and Sadir-Amane.

Managed the game really well, brilliantly played, first 20 minutes they were superb,

0:50.1

Paul Gorse you were there reporting on it for the Echo, what did you make of it?

0:53.2

Yeah, I thought once Lippur scored the early goal, didn't really look like it was going to be anything other

than a Liverpool win. Maybe in maybe two or three years ago with Liverpool don't score early the anxiety

bit anxious and nervous and that isn't really the case anymore with Liverpool.

1:12.8

So if you don't score, they just continue playing and playing and playing.

1:16.6

But for maybe a little bit of a rarity, Lepool did score an early goal.

1:20.5

And then from then on it looked like it was going to be a poor win. I thought Dean Henderson was fantastic in the Sheffield United Goal.

1:26.0

He made several really good saves in the first half.

1:29.0

I was unlucky with Manage one for the second.

1:31.0

He can probably count to himself unfortunate but same

total the pool played very well considering this was the the end of a really energy
