I'm Rebecca Lavoie, a journalist and podcaster in New Hampshire, and I am mom to Henry, who is 16, Teddy, who is 15, and my stepdaughter, Lily, who is 18. And I'm Carvel Wallace, a writer and podcaster in Oakland, California, and I'm the father to Georgia who is 12, and Ezra who is 15.

Today on our show, we have a question about a boy whose peers say he dresses like a girl,

and another about what last name to give your kids.

Plus, as always, we'll have triumphs and fails.

First, though, triumphs and fails.

Rebecca, do you want to go first to triumph or fail?

I've got a fail maybe.

And I love your guys' input on whether or not this is truly a fail.

It's just something I kind of feel bad about.

I, like a lot of parents have things that I like hate, right? So I, one of them, for example, is Disney World.

Like, I hate Disney World because I hate that Disney World has become this obligatory thing

that parents feel like at some point they have to do with their kids.

Like, oh, we have to do Disney.

I just feel like it sucks. It's super expensive.

There are a million other things you can do with kids that they will, you know, remember more, like more, enjoy more that are not that.

And I think one of the reasons I hate it is just because of that whole thing where it's like a right of passage or whatever that parents feel obligated to take their kids there.

So that is one of those things that I hate.

Another thing that I hate, however, is baseball.
