Six small Iranian fastboats ran into the U.S. Navy in the Strait of Hormuz as President

Trump works to open the shipping lane back up to commercial traffic.

Iran has been harassing tankers and container ships trying to get through this trade, which really has

become the main battleground of this war with Iran. Typically, you would see 20 to 40 small boats

in one pack coming at a vessel. And so the fact that they only launched six boats, he thought was a sign of how

highly degraded there, even this mosquito navy is at this point. This is the Fox News rundown,

Operation Epic Fury. The U.S. military says it helped two ships pass through the Strait of Hormuz after President Trump's announcement that the U.S. Navy is now guiding ships through the strait.

Treasury Secretary Scott Besson tells the Fox News Channel that any Iranian resistance that the operation isn't working.

I think it's called the Mosquito Navy is being swatted. Numerous ships, maybe in double

digits, have been destroyed. And the U.S., we are just firing if fired upon. We are not the

provocateurs here. Sencom commander Admiral Brad Cooper spoke to reporters on a phone call. He says

President Trump's plan is a defensive operation to protect cargo ships. Over 100 land and sea-based aircraft, multi-domain, unmanned platforms,

meaning under the sea, on the sea, and from the air, and then 15,000 service members to extend

this defensive umbrella across the Strait of Hormuz to protect our forces and also

as committed to to defend commercial shipping.

The U.S. blockade on Iranian ports also continuing with U.S. Central Command, saying they've already

redirected at least 49 ships. Might this be the way to get Iran to accept America's terms
